| Summary, etc. | Le protestantisme est généralement réputé étranger à la Lorraine. Pourtant, la diversité géopolitique de l’espace lorrain à l’époque moderne, puis sa partition tragique à l’époque contemporaine, font de ce territoire un lieu de diffusion contrastée des réformes protestantes, dans leur diversité. Calvinistes, luthériens ou encore anabaptistes, jusqu’aux évangéliques aujourd’hui, ont tous, malgré leur situation d’extrême minorité et la précarité, parfois, de leur condition juridique, joué un rôle non négligeable dans l’histoire lorraine. Il s’agit donc de réévaluer cette place, de faire un bilan des travaux les plus récents et de lancer des pistes pour de futures recherches, tout en replaçant la Lorraine dans des contextes plus larges, du fait de sa position d’entre-deux entre les constructions nationales française et allemande. Entre synthèse globale et études de cas, cet ouvrage est un reflet de nos connaissances actuelles sur le sujet, ce qui constitue une entreprise éditoriale inédite. Protestantism is generally considered external to Lorraine. However, the geopolitical diversity of the Lorraine area in Early Modern Era, then its tragic partition, make this territory a place of contrasted diffusion of Protestant reforms, in their diversity. |
