| Summary, etc. | Cet ouvrage collectif constitue le second volume des « Cahiers Castoriadis ». Selon Castoriadis, « l'histoire est création, ce qui veut dire : position de nouvelles formes et figures, de nouvelles significations, c'est-à-dire auto-institution ». Ce que Castoriadis nomme « imaginaire social » est une puissance de création à l'œuvre dans l'histoire. Chaque société s'auto-institue par la création d'un monde propre irréductible à l'effectuation de possibles prédéterminés. Affirmation qui conduit à refuser toute continuité immanente à l'évolution historique et même toute relecture a posteriori de la précursion d'une époque par une autre. Cette position est-elle tenable pour les sciences humaines comme pour la philosophie de l'histoire ? Le souci de saisir la nouveauté ne conduit-il pas Castoriadis à un certain irrationalisme ? |
