| Summary, etc. | Le secteur professionnel du numérique n’échappe pas à la ségrégation sexuée du travail. Les femmes y sont peu nombreuses et se retrouvent ainsi à l’écart d’activités en croissance, de lieux de pouvoir économique et de création de valeur. Cette sous-représentation pourrait se répercuter demain par un creusement encore plus grand des inégalités de richesse et de pouvoir. Les chercheuses interrogent dans cet ouvrage la manière dont les compétences numériques sont médiatisées. Elles enquêtent sur les difficultés rencontrées par les femmes ayant choisi de se former ou de travailler dans le secteur du numérique. Elles analysent ainsi les représentations à l'œuvre dans les dynamiques d’orientation et les choix de formation et exposent les dénis de légitimité auxquelles les femmes font face. La somme de ces contributions participe à comprendre les raisons de l’absence persistante des femmes du secteur du numérique et à mesurer le chemin qui reste à accomplir vers l’égalité professionnelle. The digital professional sector is no exception to the gendered segregation of work. Women are few and set aside in growing activities, places of economic power and value creation. This under-representation could have repercussions in the future in the form of even greater inequalities of wealth and power. In this book, the researchers question the way in which digital skills are mediated. They investigate the difficulties encountered by women who have chosen to study or work in the digital sector. They analyze the representations at work in the dynamics of orientation and training choices and expose the denials of legitimacy that women face. The sum of these contributions helps to understand the reasons for the persistent absence of women from the digital sector and to measure the path that remains to be taken towards professional equality. |
