| Summary, etc. | Lors de la construction de l’autoroute A5. trois sites du Paléolithique supérieur ont été mis au jour entre Melun et Troyes.Celui de Marolles-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne) est attribué au Magdalénien et apparenté aux sites contemporains du Bassin parisien. D’excellentes conditions de conservation et d’enregistrement des vestiges de toute nature (silex, faune, pierres chauffées) ont permis une approche palethnologique de ce site de chasse de chevaux rarement atteinte dans une recherche en archéologie preventive.L’analyse technologique du matériel lithique aungnacien de Lailly (Yonne) et péngordien (?) de Fontvannes (Aube) a mis en évidence les chaînes opératoires de production de lames, éclats et lamelles. Ces deux gisements confèrent à la petite vallée de la Vanne une nouvelle importance dans la compréhension du peuplement du sud-est du Bassin parisien.Comme suite à la publication des sites du Paléolithique moyen du Sénonais (dAf n° 47), cet ouvrage renouvelle l’approche de la Préhistoire ancienne de cette région. Three Upper Palaeolithic sites have been discovered during the construction of the A5 motorway between Melun and Troyes.Marolles-sur-Seine, in the Seine-et-Mame area, is related to the other Magdaleman sites discovered in the Paris basin. The excellent preservation of the finds (silex, animal bones, heated stones) has made possible a palaeoethnological study of this horse hunting site, a type of research rarely possible in a rescue excavation Technological analysis of the lithic from Lailly (Aungnacian), in the Yonne area, and Fontvannes (Perigordian ?), in the Aube area, has revealed the production techniques for three kinds of artefacts blades, flakes and bladelets. These two sites increase the importance of the Vanne valley in the understanding of occupation of the south east of the Paris basin.Following the publication about the Middle Palaeolithic sites of the Sens area (dAf number 47), this volume renews the study of early Prehistory in this region |
