| Summary, etc. | A partire dalla sua comparsa sul mercato alla fine degli anni Novanta, l’edizione in DVD ha giocato un ruolo di primo piano nei processi di trasformazione e ridefinizione dell’“oggetto-cinema” e delle pratiche di fruizione del film. Attraverso la proposta di “extra” o “contenuti speciali”, l’edizione in DVD modifica l’esperienza del film, da una parte appropriandosi delle qualità dell’esperienza della visione in sala, e dall’altra facendo uso delle forme di personalizzazione caratteristiche dei media digitali. Questa logica dell’ambivalenza costituisce il filo rosso che si dipana lungo il percorso offerto dai saggi qui raccolti (anche di studiosi internazionali, protagonisti delle ricerche in questo particolare ambito) e rende il DVD un punto di osservazione privilegiato per indagare i cambiamenti del cinema nello scenario mediatico contemporaneo. |
