Nul n'ignore les implications, louables ou critiquables, de leurs recherches dans la perception du monde arabe et musulman et, chemin faisant, dans la conception des politiques de leurs pays à l'égard de ces deux mondes. Ce livre se propose de fournir un éclairage de la question, à partir de contributions d'orientalistes allemands et français, et d'intellectuels libanais. Beiruter Gespräche-Das deutsch-französiche Forum. Niemand kann den offenen oder verborgenen Einfluß von Vordenkern unter den Orientalisten im Westen leugnen.Niemandem können die anerkennenswerten, aber auch abzulehnenden Folgen und Verwicklungen der orientalistischen Forschung auf die Wahrnehmung der arabischen und islamischen Welt verborgen sein, die letztlich die Einstellung und Absichten der Politik gegenüber diesen beiden Welten beeinflussen. Die hier versammelten Aufsätze deutscher und französischer Orientalisten, kommentiert von libanesischen Intellektuellen, hellen diese Zusammenhänge auf. Cet ouvrage inaugure la série des Entretiens franco-allemands de Beyrouth qui sera consacrée à la collaboration scientifique franco-allemande en Orient et qui transcrira le résultat des conférences, ateliers, rencontres..., conjointement organisés par l'Institut français du Proche-Orient (IFPO) et l'Orient-Institut Beirut. Die neubegründete Reihe Beiruter Gespräche-Das deutsch-französische Forum will die wissenschafdiche Kooperation zwischen dem Institut français du Proche-Orient (IFPO) und dem Orient-Institut Beirut (OIB) bei gemeinsamen Kongressen, Tagungen und Projektarbeiten im Orient dokumentieren. |
